Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) January 2024 Exam Online Apply 2023

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the notification for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) January 2024 exam. The online application process is now open and candidates can apply for the exam on the official website of CTET at ctet.nic.in.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who meet the following eligibility criteria can apply for the CTET January 2024 exam:

• Age: 21 years or above as on January 1, 2024

• Educational Qualification:

  • Paper 1: For teaching classes I to V, candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree with at least 45% marks and a Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed)/ Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) degree with at least 50% marks.
  • Paper 2: For teaching classes VI to VIII, candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks and a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) degree with at least 50% marks.

Selection Process

The CTET exam is a computer-based test (CBT) and consists of two papers:

• Paper 1: For teaching classes I to V
• Paper 2: For teaching classes VI to VIII

Each paper consists of 150 questions and the exam duration is 2.5 hours. The questions in the exam are objective type and are based on the following topics:

• Paper 1: Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I (Hindi or English), Language II (Hindi, English, or a regional language), Mathematics, and Environmental Studies.
• Paper 2: Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I (Hindi or English), Language II (Hindi, English, or a regional language), Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies.

How to Apply

To apply for the CTET January 2024 exam, candidates can follow these steps:

1. Visit the official website of CTET at ctet.nic.in.
2. Click on the “Apply for CTET-Jan2024” link on the homepage.
3. If you are a new user, click on the “New Registration” button and register yourself on the website by providing your basic details such as name, date of birth, email address and mobile number.
4. If you are an existing user, log in using your registration number and password.
5. Fill up the online application form.
6. Upload all the required documents in the prescribed format.
7. Pay the application fee online.
8. Submit the online application form.
