Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for the various posts are as follows:
District Judge
- Educational Qualification: Degree of Law from any recognized university.
- Age Limit: 45 years as on November 17, 2023.
Civil Judge
- Educational Qualification: Degree of Law from any recognized university.
- Age Limit: 35 years as on November 17, 2023.
Law Clerks-cum-Research Assistants
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
- Age Limit: 30 years as on November 17, 2023.
Stenographer
- Educational Qualification: Graduation with English as a subject from a recognized university.
- Age Limit: 30 years as on November 17, 2023.
Group D
- Educational Qualification: SSLC or equivalent from a recognized board.
- Age Limit: 25 years as on November 17, 2023.
Selection Process
The selection process for the various posts will consist of the following stages:
Preliminary Examination (for Group D posts only)
- Written Examination: The candidates who meet the eligibility criteria will be required to appear for a written examination consisting of objective type questions on General English, General Knowledge, and Arithmetic.
Main Examination (for all posts except Group D)
- Written Examination: The candidates who qualify the preliminary examination will be called for a written examination consisting of subjective type questions on relevant subjects.
- Interview: The candidates who qualify the main examination will be called for an interview. The interview will be conducted by a panel of experts appointed by the High Court of Karnataka.
