Eligibility Criteria

Assistant Engineer (AE)

  • Civil Engineer: B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering with at least 3 years of experience in multi-storied building projects.
  • Electrical Engineer: B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering with at least 3 years of experience in infrastructure projects.

Assistant Administrative Officer (AAO – Specialist)

  • Chartered Accountant (CA): A bachelor’s degree along with completion of the CA Final Examination and Associate Membership of ICAI.
  • Company Secretary (CS): A bachelor’s degree with qualification as a member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI).
  • Actuarial: A bachelor’s degree with at least 6 papers passed from the Institute of Actuaries of India or the UK.
  • Insurance Specialist: A bachelor’s degree with Fellowship of the Insurance Institute of India (Life Branch) along with at least 5 years of experience in life insurance.
  • Legal Officer: LL.B with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates).

Salary and Benefits

The basic salary for AE and AAO Specialist posts is ₹88,635/- per month as per LIC’s pay structure. Apart from the basic pay, employees are entitled to allowances such as House Rent Allowance (HRA), City Compensatory Allowance (CCA), medical facilities, pension, gratuity, and other benefits as per government norms.

Selection Process

The recruitment will take place in multiple stages:

  1. Preliminary Examination (Phase I) – This is qualifying in nature and will not be counted in the final merit.
  2. Main Examination (Phase II) – Marks obtained in the Mains will determine shortlisting for the next round.
  3. Interview (Phase III) – Final merit will be prepared based on the combined scores of Mains and Interview.
