Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible for the CHO positions, candidates need a B.Sc. in Nursing or a Post Basic B.Sc. in Nursing with an integrated curriculum of Community Health for Nurses (CCHN). This qualification must be from a recognized Indian Nursing Council or State Nursing Council institution. Additionally, applicants should be registered with the UP Nurses and Midwives Council, or they must complete this registration within 90 days of joining if they are selected.
Age Limit and Honorarium:
The age limit for this recruitment is between 21 to 40 years as of the last date of application. There are age relaxations for certain categories, including OBC, SC, ST, and PwD candidates as per government rules. The selected CHOs will receive a monthly honorarium of INR 25,000 along with a performance-based incentive of up to INR 10,000, depending on their service in the allocated district.
Application Process and Document Requirements:
The application process is entirely online, and no application fee is required. While filling out the online form, candidates must provide a recent passport-sized photograph, their signature, high school and intermediate mark sheets, nursing degree mark sheets, UP Nurses & Midwives Council registration, domicile certificate, and any relevant category certificate if they belong to a reserved category.
Selection Process:
The selection process consists of two phases. The first is a Computer-Based Test, or CBT, which will be held in major cities across Uttar Pradesh. This test is divided into two sections: the first section focuses on professional knowledge in nursing, and the second includes general aptitude, reasoning, and general awareness questions. Only candidates who score above the minimum qualifying marks in the CBT will be called for the Document Verification Process, or DVP.
COVID-19 Experience Weightage:
Candidates who have previous experience in COVID-19 management in Uttar Pradesh will be given additional marks. Those who served for six months will receive five extra marks, for one year ten marks, and for one and a half years fifteen marks.
