The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the notification for the recruitment of Constables (General Duty) (GD) in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), SSF, Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles (AR), and Sepoy in Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). A total of 75768 vacancies will be filled through this recruitment process.

• Age Limit: 18 years to 25 years as on January 1, 2024. For candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Other Backward Classes (OBC), the upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years.

• Physical Standards: Candidates must meet the prescribed physical standards as per the notification.

Selection Process

The selection process for SSC GD Constable Recruitment 2024 will consist of the following stages:

• Computer Based Test (CBT): The CBT will be conducted on an objective-type basis and will consist of questions on General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Knowledge and Awareness, Elementary Mathematics, and English Language and Comprehension.

• Physical Endurance Test (PET): Candidates who qualify the CBT will be called for the PET. The PET will assess the candidates’ physical fitness for the job.

• Physical Standard Test (PST): Candidates who qualify the PET will be called for the PST. The PST will assess the candidates’ physical standards for the job.

• Document Verification: Candidates who qualify the PST will be called for document verification.
